If you have seen Raja Hindustani, you must have remembered that long kiss between Karisma and Aamir, which created a stir in those days. But shooting it was not as easy as it appeared on the screen.
You will be surprised to know that Aamir Khan had to take 47 retakes to shoot this one kissing scene, that too in the harsh winter of Ooty. Karisma Kapoor told this whole story in an interview with Rajeev Masand.
In the interview, Karisma said, We had to face a lot of trouble for that kissing scene. People always talk about that kissing scene. But it took us 3 days to shoot that one scene in the cold of Ooty in February. Our condition had become such that when was this scene going to end? We shot from 7 in the morning till 6 in the evening in the cold. We were trembling while shooting. Because of this, 47 retakes were done for it.
Let us tell you that Raja Hindustani has been one of the hit films of that era. Made in a budget of 6 crores, the film did a business of 78 crores.
