Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is undergoing knee treatment at a renowned Ayurvedic Institute in Kerala. He reportedly had a knee problem during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, for which he is currently in Kerala for treatment. A party leader said that Rahul Gandhi may be discharged by Sunday.
On the condition of anonymity, a party senior said Rahul Gandhi was admitted to Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Shala on July 21. He will be discharged on Sunday. Rahul Gandhi was welcomed by the Managing Trustee and Chief Physician of the hospital, Dr PM Warrier.
Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and MLA AP Anil Kumar were present. During his treatment, Rahul Gandhi also saw a Kathakali dance performance. PSV NatyaSangam performed. On this occasion, he also met Malayalam writer and director Vasudevan Nair. These days he is also undergoing treatment in the hospital itself. Nair also gifted a pen to Rahul Gandhi during his meeting. Party sources said Rahul Gandhi had a knee problem during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He took this journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
Rahul Gandhi started the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari on September 7 last year. During this, he reached Srinagar in 136 days, walking 4000 kilometres in 12 states. Now he is preparing to go on another round under Bharat Jodo Yatra.
It is reported that the second phase of this journey may start in the last days of August or September, like last year. This time he will come to UP after walking from Porbandar in Gujarat. In Gujarat, too, there is a special purpose behind starting from Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. This yatra will pass through 15 state districts in about 25 days of UP. The halt of the yatra will also be in Prayagraj.
