Metal pieces have been found in the products of Tyson Foods, America’s largest meat processor company. After this, the company took back about 13,608 kg of chicken nuggets. Tyson Brands is voluntarily recalling approximately 30,000 pounds of frozen, fully cooked Chicken Fun Nuggets, including those sold to retailers in 29-ounce packages, the company said in a statement on Nov 4. It contains the brand’s fully-cooked Fun Nuggets.
Company Statement
The company says that no other Tyson brand products are affected. These products were sold in the US states of Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin. The statement further said that, although the number of people complaining is small, the complainants say they found small, flexible metal pieces in the product. Out of an abundance of caution, the company is recalling this product.
The Matter Came To Light Earlier Also
Let us tell you that Tyson, the largest American meat producer in terms of sales, has faced complaints. According to a BBC report, in November last year, the company had recalled ground beef after pieces of mirror-like material were found in the meat.
