4 Lakh Tickets Of ‘Pathaan’ Were Sold Within 36 Hours, Earned So Many Crores.

The year 2023 will start with a bang at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathaan’ will get a bumper opening. The film’s booking began across the country on Friday, and looking at the pace of ticket sales; it seems like the film will create history. Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are getting impatient to see their superstar on the big screen after four years.

This is why, till 11:20 pm on Friday, booking 3.2 lakh tickets has been made for the first day of this film. Most of these tickets have been sold for the Hindi and Tamil versions. ‘Pathaan’ is releasing on January 25, and almost every theatre has its first day, the first show houseful.

According to Sacnilk, a website that monitors the film industry’s business, the maximum number of tickets have been sold in the Hindi and Telugu versions of ‘Pathaan’. The film has already collected a gross collection of Rs 14.66 crore from bookings even before its release.

In about 48 hours, the net collection from booking is about Rs 11 crore. Interestingly, only four days are left for booking. ‘Pathaan’ is releasing on Wednesday, and the next day is Thursday, January 26. The film will benefit from the Republic Day holiday in such a situation.

Bumper Booking Of ‘Pathaan’ Is Happening In These Cities

The report states that of Rs 14.66 crore bookings done so far, Rs 1.79 crore has been earned from Delhi-NCR. A booking of Rs 1.74 crore has been made in Mumbai. Similarly, in the country’s other big cities, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata, there is a strong craze among Shah Rukh Khan’s fans.

Talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s films, his ‘Happy New Year’ got the highest opening of Rs 44.97 crore in 2014. While on the second number is ‘Chennai Express’, which started at Rs 33.12 crore in 2013. The way the tickets of ‘Pathaan’ are sold, industry experts believe that the film can earn Rs 35-40 crore on its release date of January 25.

‘Pathaan’ Will Beat The Advance Booking Of ‘Brahmastra’

Regarding earnings from booking, Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘Brahmastra’, which came in 2022, had a booking of Rs 19.66 crore before its release. The second Bollywood blockbuster film of 2022, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,’ earned Rs 6.55 crore from booking. At the same time, the booking of ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ was Rs 5.52 crore. Right now, when four days of booking time are left for ‘Pathaan’, it seems that this film will leave behind ‘Brahmastra’.

‘Pathaan’ Sold Over 4 Lakh First Weekend Tickets

On Friday, Ashish Saxena, COO (of Cinema), BookMyShow, said that in less than 36 hours since the booking of ‘Pathaan’ started, their platform has already sold 400,000 tickets for the first weekend.

Ashish says Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Pune, Lucknow and Chennai are selling the maximum number of tickets for ‘Pathaan’ across the country. Interestingly, even in South India, bookings are being made in cities like Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru. Of all the tickets sold, 26% are from these three cities.

…then ‘Pathaan’ Will Earn Rs 300 Crore In The First Weekend

‘Pathaan’, directed by Siddharth Anand, has an extended weekend of 5 days. Considering the holiday of January 26 and other Saturday-Sunday holidays, it is estimated that this film can collect Rs 300 crores worldwide in its first weekend. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Pathaan’ stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

At the same time, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have a 20-minute cameo in the movie. It is made under the ‘Spy Universe’ of Yash Raj Films and will see Salman and Katrina in the role of ‘Tiger Franchise,’ i.e. Tiger and Zoya.
