Argentina’s star striker Lionel Messi played his last match for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) amidst ‘hooting’ of the spectators. PSG, already assured of the French league title, lost 3-2 to Clermont in their last match. The PSG supporters showed no respect for Messi, and the crowd ‘hooted’ when the announcer announced the star player’s name.
Messi entered the field a few minutes later with his three children smiling. “I express my gratitude to the club, the city of Paris and its people for these two years,” he told PSG’s website. I wish you all the best for the future. PSG twice won the French League and the French Champions Trophy in these two seasons under Messi.
Meanwhile, Messie has scored 32 goals and assisted 35in all club competitions. Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain has not extended his contract with PSG. He is now likely to play in Saudi Arabia.
Benzema Leaves Real Madrid After 14 Years.
Karim Benzema has left Real Madrid after 14 years, the Spanish club confirmed on Sunday. The former France international joined the Spanish giants from Club Lyon in 2009 and has scored 353 goals in 657 appearances.
Benzema has made 42 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 30 goals and six assists. The 35-year-old striker won five Champions Leagues and four La Liga titles with Madrid. Overall, he won 25 major titles with Real Madrid, a record for the club.

Sergio Ramos, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Jude Bellingham have also left their respective clubs at the end of the season.
