Good News For Job Seekers In India; A Glut Of Jobs Coming In These Sectors

There is good news for the youth of India. After the technology partnership between India and America, there will be an outpouring of jobs in the country. Giving information about this, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, said that the partnership in the technology sector during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit was a big achievement.

1 Lakh Jobs In India

Talking to the media on Friday, he said that the announcement by companies like Micron, Applied Materials and Lam Research would lead to much development in India’s technology sector. Directly 80,000 to 1 lakh new jobs will come in the coming days. Whereas, indirectly, so many jobs will be created in the supply chain, which will be difficult to estimate.

AI-Semiconductor Demand Will Increase

The Minister of State for IT said Today is our time for quantum, AI, high-performance computing, and semiconductor. We are discussing where there will be opportunities for entrepreneurship, startups and investment. There will be a glut of new jobs.

He said that with the announcement of the Semiconductor Policy in December 2021, PM Modi is carrying a vision of making India a semiconductor hub. In the last 18 months, according to the same vision, the government has also done a lot of work.

3 American Companies Will Invest In India

The Union Minister of State for IT said that the announcements made in the US include investments in India by Micron, Applied Materials and Lam Research. All three companies are massive in the semiconductor world, and their partnership with India will expand the semiconductor ecosystem in the country, which is a milestone.

Post Jobs Here In India

The Minister of State for IT said, Today, the world sees India becoming a power hub of economic and technology. Micron will set up its semiconductor plant in Gujarat. There will be an investment of $2.75 billion, i.e. Rs 22,540 crore, on this. Micron will hire 5,000 workforces. More than 15,000 job opportunities will come in the next five years. At the same time, Applied Materials Inc. will invest US $ 400 million to set up a partner engineering centre.

Indian Engineers Will Be More Skilled

The Union Minister said that LAM Research had taken the initiative to train 60,000 Indian engineers to accelerate semiconductor education and workforce development. In this, more than 6,000 engineers will be trained every year in semiconductor nanotechnology.
