Lexus India has announced that it will increase the prices of its entry-level luxury sedan ES 300h. The revised prices will be applicable from July 1, 2023, and the price hike will be limited to the ES 300h only. The company said it would increase this vehicle’s prices by 1.8 per cent. While the company has not disclosed the quantum of the price hike, the company has indicated that the price hike is due to increased input costs.
Even Before This, There Was An Increase In The Prices
This is the second time the Japanese luxury brand has announced a price hike in India this year. In January 2023, the company had hiked car prices by up to 3.2 per cent for the LC 500h, LS 500h, NX 350h and ES 300h due to increased input costs and the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations.
Lexus ES 300h Powertrain
The ES 300h car is powered by a 2.5-litre twin-turbo V-6 petrol engine with an 88 kW electric motor. This engine is capable of generating 175bhp power and 221Nm torque. Talking about the transmission, the Lexus ES is mated to an automatic gearbox with a two-speed transfer case.

Looking at the features, the new Lexus car gets a large-sized touchscreen with voice recognition, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Apart from this, the luxury car gets a redesigned central console, customized multimedia settings, a hands-free opening and closing function for the updated boot, and many more features.
