After releasing the tape, it has been said that a call was also made to him on his mobile. Some phone messages were also reaching him. It has been told in the tape that the number on which the calls were made was given to him during his time as Chancellor.
He was also using this number during the summer Tory race. At the same time, he was given a different number a year ago when he became PM. However, his old number is still in use. Regarding Boris Johnson, it was also revealed that his number was confiscated due to the fear of hacking. He changed his mobile number in April 2021. He has been using this number for 15 years.

This was allotted to him after becoming shadow minister in 2006. Use of this number was discontinued after appearing in a press release. In which the phone is seen ringing before Sunak’s reply phone message is received.

But Downing Street has not responded regarding how this number was leaked. An MP has said that this is quite inconvenient.
