A major lapse has come to light in America’s White House security. On Monday (January 8), a driver entered through the outer gate of President Biden’s house with his car. The Secret Service confirmed the incident occurred around 6 pm local time and detained the driver for further investigation.
U.S. Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi said, “Shortly before 6 pm, a vehicle collided with an exterior gate of the White House complex. We are investigating the cause and manner of the collision.”
However, there is no threat to President Joe Biden from this incident. He was not present in the White House at this time. However, the incident led to traffic closure at 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, a busy intersection near the White House.
