Zomato CEO Was Not Allowed To Enter The Mall, Deepinder Goyal Faced The Truth

Zomato: We have started judging people by their clothes, shoes and cars. If you are not wearing good clothes, entering big hotels, restaurants, and malls becomes impossible. You will be turned away from the door itself. Something similar happened with Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal. His net worth may be in the billions, but when he reached a mall in Gurugram wearing the clothes of a Zomato delivery boy, he was not given entry. Through this social experiment, Deepinder Goyal wants to find out how delivery partners are treated.

Working Conditions For Delivery Partners Will Have To Be Improved

After this incident, Deepinder Goyal wrote on social media that I have understood from this incident that we have to work together with the mall industry. We have to improve the working conditions for our delivery partners. These malls need to change their thinking about humans. They will also have to bring a different policy for delivery partners. The Zomato CEO had to climb three floors to collect the order in the mall where he went as a delivery agent on Saturday. This was Deepinder Goyal’s second attempt to know the problems of agents through order delivery.

He Had Gone To Ambience Mall With His Wife, Gracia Munoz

He posted a video on social media X and wrote that he had visited Ambience Mall in Gurugram with his wife, Gracia Munoz. He was wearing the clothes of a Zomato delivery agent. He picked up an order from Haldiram from there. He was stopped by security at the mall’s entrance. He was told that he would have to use the stairs. When he asked about the lift, he was refused. Ultimately, he had to use the stairs.

Other Delivery Partners Gave Important Feedback

After reaching the top, he was not allowed to go inside. Deepinder Goyal kept waiting on the stairs like other delivery partners. There, he talked to them. These people gave him very important feedback. After some time, he was allowed to go inside and collect his order.
