Jaipur Metro News: Jaipur Metro Gets New Momentum, Land Allotment Will Speed Up Construction

Jaipur Metro: Taking a significant step toward strengthening Jaipur’s public transportation system, the Jaipur Development Authority has made key land-allocation decisions across multiple locations to give the Metro project new impetus. This decision was taken at the 218th meeting of the Land and Property Disposal Committee, chaired by Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan.

At the meeting, 919 square meters of land was temporarily allocated for the Metro’s Phase 1C (Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar via Galta Gate). To remove the Forest Department’s land-related obstacle to the project’s alignment, a 2.01-hectare land exchange in the Daulatpura area of Amer tehsil was also approved, which is expected to expedite construction.

In addition, for the development of Phases 2, 3,882 square meters of non-fair revenue land was allocated in the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Yojana area located on Nivaru Road, Jhotwara, and 8,000 square meters of non-fair revenue land in Shivdaspura, Tehsil Chaksu. Additionally, 20,000 square meters of land has been allocated for the construction of a sewage treatment plant (STP) in Pachhar, Tehsil Kalwad, which will strengthen regional infrastructure.

These decisions will facilitate Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited’s project implementation and pave the way for expanding the urban transportation network. The Authority believes that metro expansion, improved connectivity, and an environmentally friendly transportation system will play a key role in developing the capital into a modern, well-organised city.
