Disclosing his injury and decision, Neeraj Chopra wrote on social media, “After a lot of hard work, I finally felt I was finding the momentum and rhythm I was looking for with my season’s best throw in Lausanne.” But unfortunately, shortly thereafter, I tore a ligament in my ankle during training. After consulting with my doctor and team, we have decided that I will be out of action for the remainder of this season. This is very disappointing, especially when I felt I was so close to finding my rhythm. But as they say, setbacks and setbacks are part of the journey.
