Air India Express Employees End Strike

After a meeting with the management, Air India Express employees decided to end the strike. The airline has been given more time to consider its demands. At the same time, Air India Express decided to reinstate all the dismissed cabin crew members. Everyone has been ordered to be reinstated immediately. The employees have also agreed to return to work.

In such a situation, the Air India Express problem is expected to be resolved soon. Airlines will be restored, and Air India Express flights can take off on time.

Decision After The Meeting

Let us tell you that to control the situation, the company called a meeting of the management and protesting cabin crew members today. Air India’s subsidiary company, Air India Express, convinced the protesting employees.

Earlier, the company had taken strict action and terminated 25 employees. About 10 hours after this decision, the airline again changed its decision. The airline has ordered the reinstatement of all terminated employees.

What Has Happened Till Now?

Angry employees and cabin crew members of Air India Express, a subsidiary of Tata-owned Air India, started a strike with demands related to salary, allowances and working conditions. On May 7, over 100 crew members suddenly went on sick leave. The company had to cancel more than 80 flights due to the sudden non-arrival of employees and crew members for work. The company first tried to convince the employees.

Still, when, despite this, the staff did not return to work and then took disciplinary action, the airline sent termination letters to 25 cabin crew members and employees. After the airline’s move, the employees agreed to talk and have withdrawn their strike. Both sides decided to resolve the matter through talks. The airline has withdrawn the termination letter from the 25 employees it was sent to.
