Amazon to Fire Employees Who Don’t Return to Office, Implements Strict Return-to-Office Policy

The world’s leading e-commerce company, Amazon, is adopting a strict stance regarding its work-from-office policy. The company has said in its recent order that managers should fire those employees who are not following the order to return to office. Amazon has started implementing the return-to-office policy. In such a situation, the company can take action against the employee who does not follow this policy.

What Is Amazon’s Return To Office Policy?

According to Amazon’s return to office policy, it has now become mandatory for all employees to come to the office at least three days a week. If an employee does not follow this rule, the company manager can act against him. The company has also given information about this to the employees on the internal portal.

Amazon Introduced Three-Step Plan

Amazon has asked its employees to come to the office three days a week but has ordered those who do not follow this rule to follow a three-step plan. In the first phase, the manager will talk to the employees not coming to the office for three days. This conversation will be conducted through mail. After this, if the employee does not join the office in the next 1 to 2 weeks, there will be a discussion with the manager. Even after this, if the employee does not follow the rules, then in the third step, HR will ask the employee the reason for his absence. After this, a warning letter will be written to him. After this, the company can also fire the employee.

Office Policy Has Been Implemented

It is noteworthy that after the Corona epidemic, in February 2023, Amazon informed that corporate office employees will have to start working from the office soon. After this, in May 2023, the company implemented the rule of working from the office three days a week. After this, in July, the company allowed employees to join the office or leave the job.
