Emmanuel Macron India Visit: French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Mumbai with a high-level delegation. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, February 17th. India-France likely to sign important agreements
Hammer Missile Deal
Following the 114 Rafale deal, a major agreement between the two countries is now expected on the Hammer missile. Significantly, this missile could be manufactured in India, with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) likely to be signed.
Joint Naval Exercises and Logistics Cooperation
Given China’s growing activity in the Indo-Pacific, India and France may further strengthen joint naval exercises and logistics support in the Indian Ocean.

President of Michigan will participate in the India-France Helicopter Inaugural Forum at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, at 5:20 p.m. He will then attend the India-France Year of Rally and Cultural Program at the Gateway of India at 8:15 p.m.
Grand Welcome in Mumbai
President Emmanuel Macron was received at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport by Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Ajit Pawar were also present. Following the welcome, the President and his delegation departed for the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. This three-day visit is considered significant in the context of India’s AI Impact Summit and defence cooperation.
