Facilities In Markets Improved

The farmers who reached the market said wheat should be lifted soon to continue the procurement process. At the same time, the market administration says that the farmers coming to the market with their crops will not be allowed to face any problems.

All the arrangements, such as electricity, water, toilets, cleanliness, etc., have been completely repaired. Also, farmers have been requested to reach the market only after thoroughly drying and cleaning their crops.

New Grain Market Secretary Sandeep Sachdeva said the government’s wheat procurement has started. The government has fixed the MSP at Rs 2275 per quintal. Wheat procurement formally began today, Wednesday.

The market has provided all basic facilities for the farmers. Wheat on MSP will be purchased only from farmers registered on the Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal.

Farmers Unhappy With Low Yield

A farmer who reached the new grain market of Karnal with 2 acres of wheat said that he came and got the gate pass cut, and then the crop was sold.

The crop has been purchased at a price fixed by the government at Rs 2275 per quintal. I am satisfied with the preparations of the administration in the market. This time, the yield per acre is 21 to 22 acres, less than last year.
