Railway News: Three Trains Cancelled in Chhattisgarh Due to Construction Work

If you plan a train journey from Chhattisgarh, there is important news. The railways have shocked the passengers. Three trains passing through Chhattisgarh have been cancelled. These trains will not run on different days from May 12 to May 30. Apart from this, the railways have also changed the routes of two trains. The trains that have been cancelled go to Jharkhand and Maharashtra. People may face difficulties due to train cancellations.

Which Train Has Been Cancelled

South Eastern Railway officials informed that, considering the construction work, it has been decided to cancel Bilaspur-Tatanagar and Tatanagar-Bilaspur Express from May 12 to May 30. At the same time, Tatanagar-Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari Express will remain cancelled from May 11 to 26.

Why Were The Trains Cancelled

Railway officials said that the decision to cancel the train has been taken due to the ongoing flyover construction work in the Ranchi division. Train operations will be resumed as soon as the construction work is completed. A four-lane elevated road and a road-over bridge are being constructed. In the third phase of this project, construction work will be done from May 5 to May 30. Traffic and power blocks will be done on different days during this time.

Which Train Was Diverted

Railways has decided to train number 18478 Yoga Nagari Rishikesh-Puri Kalinga Utkal Express via a diverted route from Rishikesh on May 11, 13, and 16. This train will run on the diverted route to Ib, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur City, and Cuttack. At the same time, train number 18477 Puri-Yoga Nagari Rishikesh Kalinga Utkal Express, leaving from Puri on May 16, will run via the diverted route via Cuttack, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda, and Ib.

Security Of Stations Increased

On the other hand, the railways have given instructions to increase train security. Given the war-like situation between India and Pakistan, security arrangements have been strengthened in all the stations of the Bilaspur zone. The railway police are appealing for people’s cooperation.
