Apple iPhone 5G Connectivity Support Models in India: Apple released the iOS 16.2 updates on December 14, 2022, for all supported iPhone models worldwide. The iOS 16.2 update in India brings support for 5G connectivity.
With the iOS 16.2 update, all eligible iPhone users in India can use 5G services on their devices. They have provided that their Internet Service Provider supports the service in their city.
Apple iOS 16.2 Updated iPhone 5G Support
It is worth noting that Apple enabled 5G connectivity in the iOS 16 Beta Software Program Week for select iPhone users in the country last month. At that time, Airtel and Jio customers participating in the iOS 16 beta software program could try out 5G on their iPhones.
Almost a month later, Apple has officially rolled out support for 5G connectivity on supported iPhones. Some reports had indicated around the same time that the Indian government formally rolled out 5G services in India.
IANS reported that as soon as network validation and testing for quality and performance is completed, Apple worked closely with its carrier partners in India to bring the best 5G experience to iPhone users.
With this, support for 5G on iPhone now reaches over 250 carrier partners in over 70 markets, along with expanded support for standalone networks.
