Apple Watch is not limited to just a smartwatch. We have often heard how the Apple Watch saved a person. This fitness track has successfully saved many people’s lives many times. Once again, the Apple Watch has proved to be a lifesaver for a diabetic patient.
According to a report by KSNV, the life of Josh Furman, a resident of Las Vegas, USA, was saved due to the fall detection feature of Apple Watch Ultra. The watch automatically detected the person’s accident and shared the information with the emergency services.
What Is The Whole Matter?
Josh Furman, 40, said that one day, suddenly, his blood sugar level dropped so low that he fainted while alone at home and his head hit the floor. He also told me that I had no idea for how long I was unconscious, but when I woke up, the Apple Watch automatically called 911 paramedics. Although Furman could not say anything to the paramedics, nor could 911 understand what he was saying, the team could reach his home with the help of GPS.
He said his device also had emergency contacts, which helped him contact his mother, who immediately alerted the 911 operator about her son’s condition. Furman also said that I don’t think people know enough about their Apple Watch that this watch can even save lives in times of need. He also advised me to use this watch. This is not the first time the Apple Watch has saved someone’s life. In August, Apple Watch’s cardio fitness notifications helped a healthy man identify a major heart problem.
How The Feature Works
According to the information, the Fall Detection Feature runs on On-Device Machine Learning in conjunction with these motion sensors to detect whether a person has fallen. If the watch feels that the person’s condition is not good or he does not move within a specific time limit, then the watch automatically calls the emergency service.
