It is being told that from December 1, 2022, Facebook will not show any user’s address, religious views, political views and sexual preferences.
Social media consultant Matt Navara first noticed these changes. Sharing the screenshot on Twitter, Navara wrote that “Facebook is removing religious views and interest information from profiles from December 1, 2022.”

Until now, the social media platform had a separate page with details such as an address, political views and sexual orientation, which users had to fill in. But now Facebook has decided to remove these details.
Facebook is now sending notifications to users who have these fields filled out. The company is informing users that from December 1, Facebook Profile ( Facebook Changes from December 1) December 1, some things will be removed. Along with this, users are also being given the option to save their data.
Meta spokesperson Emil Vazquez said, “as part of our efforts to make Facebook easier to navigate and use, we are removing some profile fields: interests, religious views, political views and address. We send notifications to people who have these fields filled out, letting them know they will be removed. This change does not affect anyone’s ability to share this information elsewhere on Facebook.”
Earlier, Facebook had opted for mass layoffs following huge financial losses. Last week the social media giant laid off 11,000 employees across departments.
