Indian Post Office Gave This Response To The Message
The Department of Post under the Ministry of Communication has informed the users about a scam through its official account on the X platform. A phishing message is falsely claiming that India Post is giving new iPhone 15 to lucky winners.
India Post has tweeted saying, “Please be careful! India Post does not give any kind of gift through any unofficial portal or link. For any information related to India Post, please visit the official website https://www.indiapost.gov.in/”
The Indian Post Office has also included a screenshot of the viral message in its advisory, in which it has been claimed that a person will receive iPhone 15 as a gift during Navratri. Also, while giving instructions in the message, it has been said that if this message is shared with 5 groups or 20 friends on WhatsApp, you will get a link on clicking which the gift can be claimed.
Indian Post Office Warned
India Post has warned that this message is fake, and users are advised not to forward such messages. Unauthorized links are given in this; clicking on these should be avoided.
