Sunita Williams Ready To Create History For The Third Time; Will Fly In Space Next Month

Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams will lead the operations crew of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. Next month, Sunita will be ready to go to space for the third time. The space journey, scheduled to begin between June 1 and June 5, had to be postponed earlier this month due to a technical glitch.

When Will The Mission Be Launched

United Launch Alliance is trying to launch the Atlas V rocket and Boeing Starliner spacecraft from Kennedy Space Center on Saturday, June 1, at 12:25 p.m. The second attempt will be on Sunday, June 2, the third on Wednesday, June 5, and the fourth on Thursday, June 6.

Sunita Williams Ready To Create History

58-year-old Sunita Williams, daughter of Dr Deepak Pandya and Boney Pandya, will again create history. She has gone to space twice, in 2006 and 2012. Williams has spent 322 days in space across two missions, a record. She held the record for the most spacewalk time by a female astronaut, spending 50 hours and 40 minutes in seven spacewalks.

The Second Space Flight Took Place In 2012

Sunita took her second space flight on July 14, 2012, and stayed there for four months. She created a new record by walking in space for 50 hours and 40 minutes. Sunita Williams took the idol of Lord Ganesha, Upanishads, and samosas during her space travel. Her second mission ended on November 18, 2012.
