Team India’s young batsman Shubman Gill has been selected the team for the tour of New Zealand and Bangladesh. The team was announced on Monday, and Shubman Gill made a big bang on Tuesday. In the quarter-final match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Shubman Gill scored a blazing century and celebrated the selection in Team India.
Shubman Gill, who plays for Punjab, scored 126 runs in 57 balls. During this, he hit 11 fours and 9 sixes. Shubman scored runs in his innings at a strike rate of 229. This innings also became special because Punjab had lost two wickets on the score of 10 runs at one time, and after that, Shubman played a solid inning and got his team out of trouble.
On the strength of Shubman Gill’s strong innings, Punjab scored 225 against Karnataka for losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. Apart from Shubman Gill, Anmolpreet Singh played an innings of 59 runs. Together they also shared a partnership of 151 runs in 82 balls.
It is worth noting that Shubman Gill first entered the Test team in Team India; after that, he came into the T20 and ODI teams. He constantly mentions that he is ready to play white ball cricket for Team India and can bat at any position. In such a situation, he is strengthening his claim from his side.
