Rahul & Sharad Discuss Seat Sharing, But 9 Seats Remain a Puzzle

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has spoken to Sharad Pawar on the phone. According to the information, the issue of seat sharing in Maharashtra was discussed between the two prominent leaders. The issue of seat sharing will be resolved soon.

According to sources, agreement has been reached on 39 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra. There is a problem regarding 9 seats. It has been agreed that the strong party should contest the elections on that seat.

I.N.D.I.A. Talks in the alliance have also been held regarding Prakash Ambedkar’s party, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, in Maharashtra. Sources said an important MVA meeting regarding seat sharing will be held on February 27-28.

It Is Not Easy To Agree On Seat Sharing In Maharashtra

Seat distribution in Maharashtra regarding Lok Sabha elections is a big challenge. There is already an alliance between Mahavikas Aghadi, i.e. Congress, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction. For a long time, efforts have been made to reach a consensus on the seat-sharing formula between the two, Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA)’s ally Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction).

In favour of including small parties like peasants, workers’ party, and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, Pawar says that these parties have a good hold in the state. Even on Thursday, when Sharad Pawar talked to Rahul Gandhi, it was reported that he asked to finalize the seat sharing as soon as possible so that joint rallies could be organized for the Lok Sabha elections.
