Adani Group Is Going To Invest More Than 2 Lakh Crore Rupees In Renewable Energy

Adani Group, led by Gautam Adani, has made an investment plan of about Rs 2.3 lakh crore. Adani Group will invest this money in renewable energy and solar and wind manufacturing. Under this plan, this money will be invested until 2030.

Adani Green Energy, the country’s largest renewable energy company, will spend approximately Rs 1.5 lakh crore. This money will increase the capacity to generate electricity from solar and wind energy in Khavda, Kutch, and Gujarat from 2 GW to 30 GW.

Adani New Industries Will Spend Rs 50 Thousand Crores

According to a senior company official, Adani New Industries, a unit of Adani Enterprises, will invest about Rs 50 thousand crore on similar projects of 6 to 7 GW at different places in the country and about Rs 30 thousand crore in expanding solar cell and wind turbine manufacturing capacity in Mundra, Gujarat.

Capacity Will Be Increased To 45 Gigawatts

Adani Green Energy has a capacity of 10,934 MW (10.93 GW). The company wants to achieve 45 gigawatts of renewable energy production capacity by 2030. Of this, 30 gigawatt capacity will come from Khavda, the world’s largest renewable energy project. Company MD Vineet Jain told CNBC TV 18 that we have just commissioned a 2,000 MW (2 GW) capacity plant in Khavda. Capacity will be increased by 4 gigawatts in the current financial year 2024-25 and 5 gigawatts every year after that.

Khavda Plant Will Generate 81 Billion Units Of Electricity

Vineet Jain said that the Khavda plant is spread over an area of approximately 538 square km, about five times bigger than Paris. It will generate 81 billion units of electricity when it reaches its highest production capacity. This is so much electricity that it can single-handedly meet the energy needs of countries like Belgium, Chile, and Switzerland. Apart from Khavda, Adani Group is also preparing similar projects in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
