PMKSY: The central and state governments run many farmers and agriculture schemes. The name of the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is also included. Due to the falling groundwater level in UP, it is having a huge impact on the cost of agriculture. Due to this, the income of farmers has also come down. However, the Yogi government has announced a scheme for the state’s farmers that can reduce water consumption in farming.
Which will also increase farmers’ incomes. Not only this, it will also save the groundwater level from decreasing. The Yogi government has started emphasizing sprinkler irrigation methods through drip sprinklers. To motivate the farmers, the government has begun ‘Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana’ for the farmers. Under this, the government will give subsidies to the farmers on the purchase of drip, sprinkler, and portable systems.
Let us tell you that the Yogi government aims to increase agricultural water use efficiency by promoting appropriate technical interventions like drip and sprinkler irrigation techniques and encouraging farmers to save water and use conservation techniques. This scheme focuses on micro irrigation, which the central government is running.
