NHAI Brings You A Special Offer To Win A Prize Of Rs 1,000 While Travelling On The Highway

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a new initiative in support of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. You’ve likely encountered dirty washrooms at toll plazas, which can often infuriate you. Now, if you notice a dirty toilet at a toll plaza and report it to NHAI, you’ll receive a reward of ₹1,000 in the form of a FASTag recharge. This scheme will be implemented on national highways nationwide by October 31, 2025.

Complain about this app and win a prize.

Under this scheme, people will be able to use the new version of the Highway Yatri app to upload geo-tagged and time-stamped photos of dirty toilets along the route. They’ll also need to enter their name, location, vehicle registration number, and mobile number. If the report is found to be accurate after an inspection, a ₹1,000 FASTag will be recharged for the vehicle.

What are the rules?

According to information received, the vehicle registration number submitting the complaint will receive a reward only once during the entire duration of this scheme. Similarly, a single toilet will only be considered active for rewards once per day, even if multiple complaints have been made. If multiple people report the same issue with the same toilet on the same day, only the first correct report will receive the reward.

Strict Action Will Be Taken

NHAI stated that only clear, original, and geo-tagged photos taken through the app will be considered valid. No duplicate images, old, or edited photos will be accepted. All photos submitted by individuals will be verified using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and manual review, ensuring that only genuine reports are eligible for the reward.

According to information received, this scheme will only apply to toilets built, operated, and maintained by NHAI. Toilets located at petrol pumps, dhabas, or other public places will not be covered under this scheme.
