Along with the safety of the pillion rider, you should also take care of your safety. Responsible bike riding begins with following traffic rules. If you do not drive properly according to the rules, you can get yourself and others in trouble. Here are some tips that you can always follow to stay safe.

Do Not Ride The Bike At High Speed

Most youth ride bikes at very high speeds. The higher the bike speed, the greater the possibility of an accident. Therefore, always drive slowly on the road.

Maintain Proper Distance

Whether riding a bike or motorcycle, always maintain a proper distance from the vehicle in front. Most accidents happen when drivers drive too close to the vehicles in front. While driving a car on the highway, maintain a distance of at least 70 meters from the vehicle in front.

Use Side Mirror

Before turning on the bike, check the side mirror to see if you can see the vehicles coming from behind properly. Adjust the mirror according to your convenience. Using mirrors while driving a bike can save you from many accidents.

Keep Your Eyes On The Road

While driving a car, the driver’s eyes should be only on the road. One should not talk on the phone while driving. Not only this, one should not even type messages on the phone. Ignore unnecessary things while driving a bike. Overall, the driver should focus only on moving the bike because sudden potholes or breakers on the road can spoil your balance.

Do Not Drive After Drinking Alcohol

Most importantly, one should avoid driving when the weather is bad. Along with this, one should never consume intoxicants before and during driving. Driving a car or bike in a drunken state is not only a legal offence, but it also endangers the life of oneself and other pedestrians on the road.
