Indian Airlines Will Be Seen In International Travel, Will Capture The Market

Credit rating agency CRISIL has described the future of Indian Airlines as bright. CRISIL says India’s international passenger traffic reached about 7 crores in 2024. It had come down to 1 crore during the Corona epidemic. CRISIL has estimated that by 2027-28, the country’s airlines will achieve about 50 per cent share in international travel.

Indian Airlines’ Share In International Travel Is 43 Percent

CRISIL Ratings said in its report on Monday that the future of India’s airlines is bright. In the last financial year, Indian airlines’ share of international travel was 43%. There is full hope that this pace will continue in the future. This increase in share is due to the airlines purchasing new aircraft and providing better connectivity on domestic routes compared to international airlines.

Airlines Are Getting Strength Due To Arrival Of New Airport

Manish Gupta, Denier Director, CRISIL Ratings, said that with the increase in share in international travel, the business of Indian airlines will also strengthen. Profits in international travel are higher than in the domestic segment. After Covid 19, the way people spend has also changed. People are now spending more on international travel than before. The increasing number of airports in the country also gives people the freedom to travel around the world easily. Besides, the government is also making all efforts to promote tourism there. This will also increase the number of foreign tourists coming to the country.

Indian Airlines Will Soon Reach 300 International Routes

Due to these reasons, international passenger traffic is expected to grow 10 to 11 per cent in the next four financial years. Indian airlines have started their services on 55 new international routes in the last 15 months alone, and this figure may reach 300 routes very soon.
