Recently, a man was travelling on a flight. He was surprised that Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy was sitting next to him. He was impressed by their simplicity and shared a post on social media that has gone viral.
When a businessman named Naren Krishna reached his seat to board a flight from Delhi to Bangalore, he saw Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy sitting on the adjacent seat in the economy class. He was surprised that he was travelling in economy class despite being associated with such a big company.
Sharing his photo with Narayana Murthy, Naren Krishna wrote that all the way, I could not believe he was sitting beside me. I was surprised by his friendly personality and down-to-earth approach. During my visit, I discussed myriad topics with him, including AI, the important role of youth in the Indian economy, leaving China behind in the future, etc.
Narayana Murthy told Naren during the conversation that AI will rapidly increase human productivity in various fields by 10-100 times. Naren’s post went viral on social media, and people reacted differently.
One wrote, “Did you ask him about his 70-hour/week work schedule?” Another wrote that earning and travelling in economy class have no relation. One wrote that if someone is successful and remains connected to the ground, he makes an impact.
