Mini Mathur’s Disclosure On Indian Idol
Mini Mathur has hosted 6 seasons of ‘Indian Idol’. However, one day he suddenly said goodbye to the show. In Cyrus Broacha’s broadcast, Mini Mathur explained the reason behind her sudden exit from the show and that it was scripted. Mini said that she used to stay connected with all the contestants, even calling them at home, but I felt unfortunate when the show’s focus shifted from the contestants.

Mini Mathur said, “I left the show when I realized that this reality show was no longer real. I did 6 seasons. After that, this show was to earn money. Money-making started, and I could not appreciate such a gimmicky reality show.” Mini also said that the show started getting script. Telling an anecdote, Mini noted that once the contestants had to give a shocking reaction on seeing their relative, while she knew that her relative was about to come.

Referring to Hema and Dharmendra, Mini Mathur said, “One day my producer picked me up and said – Hema Malina and Dharmendra ji are coming, they have to do their moment. I said – let’s do the moment, or it happens. Can you leave these things to my experience? This was something that I was not going to do. Of course, it was not just Idol, but I got a lot of offers after that, and they were all scripted.”
