Nana Patekar has been in the news for some days for his statements. Nana once got an offer to work in Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio’s film Body of Lies. Body of Lies was an American spy action thriller film released in 2008. But Nana refused to do it because he did not like this character. While talking to the media recently, Nana was asked about this and explained why his statement has come into the limelight.
Why Did You Refuse?
Nana says, ‘I refused to do this film because I cannot speak dialogue in English. I wouldn’t say I liked the role offered because I could not play the role of a terrorist. People who follow and want my work don’t like it.’
Worked In This Hollywood Film
Nana further talked about the film The Pool, which was released in 2007. He said, ‘I did the movie The Pool. They knew Anurag Kashyap and wanted a similar-looking person who fit my face. Anurag showed him my photo, and he came to meet me and asked me if I wanted to do this film. I said yes and asked how many days the shoot was for, and he said 7-8 days. I said yes, and then I forgot, and they kept waiting.’
After this, Nana said, ‘We shot again for 10 days. He had no money to pay. I said okay. This film will work. That film received the Best Critic Award at the Sundays Film Festival.’
Will Be Seen In The Vaccine War
Nana will now be seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Vaccine War. He was the director of medical research in the movie. This film shows how doctors and scientists struggled to make the vaccine during COVID-19. Vivek Agnihotri is directing the film.
