68 girls are registered in this hostel named Aanchal in Parwaliya, a deserted area of Bhopal. When the Chairman and State Child Protection Commission members inspected here on Friday, only 41 out of 68 girls were found on the spot.
On this complaint, Parwaliya police had registered an FIR against the hostel operator and officials on Saturday itself. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights also took cognizance and sought an investigation report from Chief Secretary Veera Rana within seven days.
If the matter was serious, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also posted demanding action on X (formerly Twitter). After this, after reaching the hostel, the SP Collector investigated. However, the hostel was locked. Now, after an investigation, the police administration team has got the information about the missing girls.
In this case, the Women and Child Development Department, Project Officer Komal Upadhyay, and Supervisor Manjusha Raj have been suspended. At the same time, Brijendra Pratap Singh, project officer of the Women and Child Development Department, Ganj Basoda, has also been suspended. He was earlier posted on the same post in Bhopal.
Not only this, a show cause notice has also been issued to Bhopal District Program Officer Sunil Kumar Solanki and Assistant Director Integrated Child Protection Scheme Ramgopal Yadav, seeking their reply within three days.
