CM Eknath Shinde Reached Raigarh Landslide Site: A horrific accident occurred due to a landslide in Irshalwadi village of Khalapur tehsil of Raigad district of Maharashtra. In this accident, about 50-60 houses in the same village have been buried, and more than 100 people are said to be buried under the debris. So far, five deaths have been reported. NDRF teams are engaged in the rescue operation after reaching the spot. A total of 30 people have been evacuated so far.

Earlier, in connection with the landslide, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had called in the night and inquired about the situation from the higher officials.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde reached Raigad, spoke to the victims’ families, and assured them of all possible help. The Chief Minister encouraged the teams to work in relief and rescue amid heavy rains. The Chief Minister reached the spot and directed to start the rescue operation immediately with the help of a helicopter.

The rescue operation will continue rapidly to minimize the loss of life and property.
