According to the Public Works Department, which built the glass bridge of Rishikesh, the new bridge will be ready by July 2023. After this, passengers will be able to travel through the bridge.
Glass Bridge Will Replace Lakshman Jhula
A trip to Rishikesh is incomplete without the Ram and Lakshman Jhula. The view of the Ganga looks even more beautiful when viewed from the Ram and Lakshman Jhula. Lakshman Jhula has been closed for some time, so tourists can only move from Ram Jhula. But now, a new glass bridge will replace the Lakshman Jhula.

The glass bridge built over the river Ganga in Rishikesh will be named Bajrang Setu. After the names of Ram and Lakshman, this third bridge will be named after Hanuman Ji.
Will Vehicles Be Able To Pass?
This bridge will be in three lanes. Glass bridge is being built as a pedestrian path. There will be a normal bridge in the middle of which small vehicles can pass, while there will be a glass bridge to walk around. It will be the same as a footpath walking on the road.
The Bridge Will Be So Strong
The glass bridge is being built very firmly. 65 mm glass will be used to make this bridge. The bridge will be at the height of about 57 meters from the river Ganges. The glass bridge will be approximately 133 meters long. This bridge will be a total of 8 meters wide, which includes both the pedestrian glass bridge and the vehicular bridge.
