IndianOil To Launch 2kg Munna Cylinder In North East; Here’s What You Need To Know

2 Kg Munna Cylinder: The domestic gas cylinder will soon come in a new form. After the ‘Chhotu’ cylinder, Indian Oil is all set to launch the ‘Munna’ cylinder in the North Eastern region. On Friday, a top company official said that apart from setting up LPG bottling units in all seven states, Indian Oil would also focus on infrastructure development in the region.

The Munna Cylinder Will Be Very Light.

Let us tell you that Indian Oil introduced a 5 kg Chhotu cylinder after a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder and is now going to introduce a 2 kg Munna cylinder. G Ramesh, Executive Director and State Head, Indian Oil, Assam Oil Division, said that after introducing ‘Chhotu’, a 5 kg LPG cylinder in the Northeast last year, we will launch a 2 kg cylinder.

Bottling units for ‘Munna’ will soon be launched in Tripura and North Guwahati.

Munna Cylinder Will Be Of Great Use To These People

The lightweight LPG cylinders are meeting the needs of the migrant population in urban and semi-urban areas who do not have address proof or have low gas consumption. ‘Munna’ will be especially useful for the people of hilly areas, as it will be easy to transport.

How Much Will It Cost?

The per kg price of ‘Munna’ will be almost the same as that of a regular domestic cylinder. 1103 for a 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi. Means one kg of gas costs around Rs 77.7. In this way, the Munna cylinder can be found at a price of Rs.155.

Chhotu Has Got A Good Response.

There has been a good response for ‘Chhotu’ in the North Eastern states. It sold around 60,000-65,000 units in the last financial year and another 15,000 units in the first quarter of the current financial year.

IndianOil currently has 871 LPG distributors in the North East. The company has 1.12 crore LPG customers in the region, of which 91 lakh are active customers.
