Lithium Reserves Jammu Kashmir: For the first time in the history of India, lithium reserves have been found in Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir. Mines secretary Vivek Bhardwaj said, “Lithium reserves have been found for the first time and that too in Jammu and Kashmir.”
The reserves are likely to be 6 million tonnes. Finding a deposit of lithium called the treasure is considered the beginning of a new era. However, earlier, a lithium reserve of 1600 tonnes was located in the Mandya district of Karnataka, but it was not for commercial use.
Australia, Chile and China are the three largest producers and exporters of lithium. Lithium is such a metal when it is found in large quantities, even the fate of countries can change. Now that its reserves have been found in India, too, many problems can be removed in the coming times.
