People Had Come In Large Numbers To Watch Bhasma Aarti
During the fire incident, the temple priest said that even today, the Bhasma Aarti of Lord Mahakal is performed daily. People were playing Holi. There is a possibility that while the camphor aarti was taking place, a chemical-laden gulal fell into the camphor aarti, causing a fire. During this time, many people came to watch Aarti.
