The New District Will Be Formed By Combining Three Tehsils

There is a plan to form the Farenda district by combining 3 tehsils of Maharajganj and Gorakhpur. It includes two tehsils of Maharajganj, Farenda, Nautanwa and one of Gorakhpur, Campierganj. Farenda is also known as Anandnagar.

Why Is This Area Important?

These towns are near the Nepal border, so they are very important from a strategic point of view. According to sources, the governments of China and Pakistan have a lot of influence on Nepal, so it becomes necessary to keep a special eye on this area. Objections

The Maharajganj administration has objected to the plan to create this district. The administration says that if two tehsils go to Farenda, then Maharajganj will be left with only two tehsils, Sadar and Nichlaul. Any district should have at least three tehsils.
