Security arrangements have been tightened in the capital, Bhubaneswar, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s one-day visit to Bhubaneswar. According to the information, 11 DCP rank officers, 22 additional DCPs, 66 ACPs, 100 IICs, 300 senior police officers, and 81 platoon forces have been deployed to secure the Prime Minister.
PM Modi will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport around 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday and proceed to the Janata Maidan event venue. On his birthday, he will launch the state government’s Subhadra Yojana at Janata Maidan and lay the foundation stone for some projects.
Giving information about the security arrangements, Twin City Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda has said that the 12 km distance from the airport to Janata Maidan has been divided into several sectors. IG Crime Branch and IG EOW will be in charge of route lining. Similarly, IG Personnel will be in charge of the event venue.
During the PM’s visit, 11 DCP rank officers, 22 additional DCPs, 66 ACPs, 100 IICs, 300 senior police officers, 81 platoon forces and about 500 home guards will be deployed. In addition, three units of STO and ODRAF will be deployed in the security arrangements. The senior IPS officer said that the routes from the airport to Janata Maidan and Gadkana have been declared no-flying zones.
Sources said that six companies of the CRPF will also be deployed during the PM’s visit, and police will be deployed to high buildings to monitor the program. On the other hand, on Sunday evening, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida and senior BJP leaders visited Janata Maidan and reviewed the security arrangements.
Women Will Get Financial Assistance Of 10,000 Per Year
It is worth noting that the state cabinet has approved the implementation of the ‘Subhadra Yojana,’ under which a woman will receive Rs 10,000 per year for five years in financial assistance. This scheme will benefit women between the ages of 21 and 60. The money will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts.
More than one crore women will benefit from the scheme. Every year, on ‘Rakhi Purnima’ and International Women’s Day, Rs 5,000 will go directly to the beneficiaries’ bank account.
