Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (February 24) inaugurated the world’s largest grain storage pilot project in the cooperative sector at Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan. Under this scheme, it is being operated in 11 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in 11 states nationwide.
During this period, PM Modi also inaugurated the computerization of 18 thousand packs nationwide. They also laid the foundation stone of 500 pax godowns. Farmers will benefit from this scheme, including loans, food storage, purchase and PDS. Going online will improve PACS’ operations, work efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

During this time, PM Modi said that today, Bharat Mandapam is witnessing another achievement in the nectar journey of developed India. Today, we are moving toward realizing the country’s resolution from cooperation to prosperity. The power of cooperation plays a huge role in strengthening the foundation of agriculture and farming. With this thinking in mind, we have formed a separate Ministry of Cooperation.

PM Modi said that we have started the world’s largest storage scheme for our farmers today. Under this, thousands of warehouses will be built everywhere in the country. Today, the computerization of 18 thousand packs has also been completed. All these works will expand the agricultural infrastructure in the country and connect agriculture with modern technology.
Rural and Agricultural Economy Will Be Rejuvenated
PM Modi further said that cooperation is a very ancient system for India. PM Modi said big tasks can be accomplished if small things and resources are added. In the ancient village system, this automatic system of government has been working. PM Modi said that cooperation is not just a system but a feeling. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this is an authentic way of rejuvenating the country’s economy, especially the rural and agricultural economy.
