Children of basic schools in Uttar Pradesh will now be aware of space science. To this end, students are being taken on educational tours of the centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This initiative aims to teach children about space science and promote scientific thinking and technical understanding. After the success of the first phase, this scheme is now being expanded.
In the first phase, students of the Mau district visited Science City, Space Application Centre and the ISRO Centre in Ahmedabad. There, the children saw and learned important scientific processes like rocket technology, satellite launch and Gaganyaan mission directly. This satisfied their curiosity and also increased their interest in science.

Education department officials say that such educational trips are a good way to connect children with the world of science. Given the success of the first phase, this scheme will also be implemented in other districts of the state. ISRO scientists told the children that rocket science is not a mystery, but something to be understood and learned. The objective of this initiative is that even the village’s children can develop a scientific outlook and contribute to the country’s progress in the future.
