Fine Shock After The Joy Of Victory, David Warner Will Have To Pay Rs 12 Lakh

SRH vs DC IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals captain David Warner was enthusiastic after the much-awaited win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was a pleasure to defeat SRH at their home ground, which was once their franchise. He was dropped from the squad during IPL 2021 following a tussle between the SRH top management and Warner. When Warner won against SRH on Monday night, there was no place for his happiness in such a situation. However, just after this happiness, he also got the shock of being fine. IPL imposed a fine of 12 lakhs on him.

David Warner was found guilty of slow over rate during the Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad match. Delhi Capitals wasted too much time in the second innings. Due to this, the quota of minimum overs could not be completed in the stipulated time. For this reason, the IPL management imposed a fine of 12 lakhs on him.

A statement issued by the IPL said, “Delhi Capitals captain David Warner has been fined for slow bowling by his team during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.” This was his team’s first case of violation of the minimum over-rate rule this season. A fine of 12 lakhs has been imposed on Warner.

Delhi Capitals Got Their Second Win Of The Season
