Luxury Car Maker Rolls-Royce and Linkedin To Layoffs Hundreds Of Employees

Luxury car manufacturing company Rolls-Royce is also preparing to cut jobs. The new Chief Executive is taking this decision during cost-cutting. According to the Sky News report, the global job cuts will affect more than 100 UK staff.

On the other hand, LinkedIn has also decided to lay off hundreds of its employees. These employees will be laid off soon. The company will lay off 668 engineering, talent and finance employees. The cut will affect 3 per cent of LinkedIn’s total workforce 20,000.

Why Are Layoffs Happening In Rolls Royce?

The blue-chip company has registered good growth with the arrival of the new CEO. The new CEO has made several decisions to cut costs, including job cuts in his plan. After this, the luxury car maker has prepared to lay off its employees. Thousands of employees may soon be laid off.

Notably, the Sunday Times report in May responded that Rolls-Royce had not decided on changes in its workforce, in which about 3 thousand non-manufacturing employees were expected to be cut.

When Did Layoffs Happen In LinkedIn?

According to employment firm Challenger Gray & Christmas, the sector laid off 141,516 workers in the first half of the year, compared with about 6,000 a year earlier. The social media network in May had decided to cut 716 jobs from operations and support teams to streamline its operations.

Big companies like Amazon, Google and Facebook have also cut jobs during 2023 to reduce costs. At the same time, many startups in India have also reduced positions.
