Ayushman Card: There is big news for the beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The Central Government has made it mandatory to link the Central Government Health Scheme, i.e. CGHS beneficiary ID, with the Ayushman Bharat health account.
In a press release, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the beneficiaries must link their CGHS beneficiary ID to the Ayushman Bharat health account within 30 days.
The Central Government started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, in 2018. Through this scheme, the Government of India provides health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh to poor people.
Even today, there are a large number of poor people in the country who are unable to get proper treatment for their severe diseases due to being financially weak. In such situations, many times, people die due to these severe diseases.
Given the country’s problems, the Central Government started the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Many people across the country are taking advantage of this scheme.
