TCS has decided not to give performance bonuses to employees who do not want to work from the office. In an internal memo issued on April 18, the company said that if an employee’s attendance is less than 60 per cent, he will not get this benefit. Employees will have to work from the office three days a week.

Employees Must Work From Office 3 Days A Week

According to a Live Mint report, Tata Consultancy Services has become strict regarding 60 per cent attendance. The company tries to ensure that its employees work from the office at least three days a week. TCS wants to take action against those employees who do not take work from the office seriously. Therefore, the company has linked work from the office with variable pay or an annual bonus.

Give Reasons For Not Coming To Office and Get Approval

The company’s internal memo states that disciplinary action can also be taken against employees who do not take 85% or more attendance seriously. The company has said that if any employee is not following the attendance rules, he will have to give reasons. Approval will also have to be obtained from the office. At present, the company has maintained silence on this action.

Will Have To Attend Office For 45 Hours Every Week

TCS has said that all employees who come to the office four days or more in a week will be given a 100 percent performance bonus. Employees with 75 to 85 percent attendance will also get a 75 percent performance bonus. Those with 60 to 75 percent attendance will be given a 50 percent performance bonus. The company has also made a rule to attend the office for 45 hours every week or 9 hours per day.
