Hyundai Creta EV Glimpsed During Testing, Entry In SUV Segment May Happen Soon

Hyundai Creta EV Seen During Testing

Earlier this month, Hyundai launched the new 2024 Creta facelift for Rs 10.99 lakh. Now, the company has also started work on the electric version of the Hyundai Creta. It is expected to be launched at the end of the year. New spy shots reveal that the Creta EV will be based on the 2024 facelift model.

Design and Features

The spy shots released during testing reveal the design of the Creta EV. The test mule that has been seen bears a lot of resemblance to the 2024 Creta facelift model. It has quad-beam LED headlamps, horizon LED positioning lamps and DRL, LED turn signals at both the back and front and connecting LED tail lamps.

It can be given 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels. The front and rear bumpers may be slightly modified in line with the SUV’s electric underpinnings. It is expected to have an integrated infotainment and instrument cluster screen, front-row ventilated seats, and a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof.

Range and Performance

The Creta EV may be offered with a 45 kWh battery pack, which can have a certified range of between 450 km. Its motor will generate a maximum power of 138 HP and a peak torque of 255 Nm.
