Mercedes-Benz plans to electrify its entire lineup by 2030, with 50% EVs in its portfolio by 2025. For this, the company is hosting a Sustainability Fest to celebrate Sustainability Day last Wednesday of October to promote electric cars. To commemorate this occasion, the company offers customers a discount and extra benefits of Rs 5 lakh on purchasing its electric vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz also offers 50% tax support to customers in states that levy road tax on EV registration, which includes Telangana, Kerala, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and other conditions. Apart from this, the company also provides free charging as an extra add-on for all-electric vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz EV Sales To Increase In 2023
Mercedes-Benz currently sells the EQB 7-seater SUV, the new EQE SUV and the EQS luxury sedan as part of its EV lineup in India. The company commands a total EV sales share of around 5% in India. The company has sold 638 electric cars till September this year.
