10 Soldiers, Martyred and 1 Driver Were Killed In Naxalite Attack In Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Naxal IED Attack: On Wednesday (April 26) near Aranpur in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, a vehicle carrying DRG (District Reserve Guard) personnel was attacked by an IED. The Naxalites had planted the IED. 11 soldiers were martyred in this attack. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said that this is very sad. My condolences to the bereaved families. This fight is ongoing in the last phase, and Naxalites will not be spared at any cost. We will end Naxalism in a planned manner.

Officials said that on the intelligence of the presence of Maoist cadre under Aranpur police station of Dantewada today, the DRG force was dispatched from Dantewada for an anti-Naxal operation. During the return, the Maoists carried an IED blast on the Aranpur road, so 10 DRG jawans and a driver involved in the operation were martyred.

Amit Shah Spoke To Bhupesh Baghel

Home Ministry officials said that Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh over the phone and assured him of all help. He said that whatever the state government needs, it will be given.

DRG means District Reserve Guard, who are special personnel of Chhattisgarh Police. They have been recruited only to fight the Naxalites. Naxalites who surrendered and people who grew up in Bastar’s environment are included. The biggest success against the Naxalites has been achieved by these soldiers so far.
