Ghaziabad To Lay 22,431 Metres Of New Water Pipeline In GDA Colonies

Following the handover of GDA colonies, the Municipal Corporation has intensified its efforts to strengthen the drinking water system. A total of 22,431 meters of pipeline will be laid in Buddha Vihar Parts A, B, and C, Vaishali Housing Scheme, Siddharthpuram Extension, Gautam Bihar and its extension areas. Six tube wells will also be installed and repaired. This will strengthen the drinking water supply network and ensure that clean, reliable water is available to thousands of families. Tenders have been issued for this.

In the colonies where the Municipal Corporation is proposing pipeline extensions, 2640 meters of pipeline will be laid in Buddha Vihar Part A, 3007 meters in Buddha Vihar Part B, and 2890 meters in Buddha Vihar Part C. Pipeline extensions will be 1372 meters in Vaishali Housing Scheme and 3784 meters in Siddharthpuram Extension Scheme.

In addition, 4120 meters of pipeline will be laid in Gautam Bihar Housing Scheme and 4618 meters in Gautam Bihar Extension Scheme. In this way, the drinking water supply network will be strengthened by laying 22,431 meters of pipeline. One large tube well will be installed in Buddha Vihar Part-C, Siddharthpuram Extension, and Lohia Enclave. A regular tube well will be installed in Lake View Apartments.

One mini tube well will be installed in Amravati Yojana and Vasundhara Phases 1 and 2. The installation of these tube wells will increase water supply capacity and is expected to alleviate water shortages during the summer season.

Repair and cleaning works also included

In addition, the Municipal Corporation will repair the tube well and overhead tank in Buddha Vihar Part-A. In the Vaishali Housing Scheme, in addition to repairing the tube well, sewer chambers will also be repaired, and septic tanks will be cleaned. This will also improve drainage and sanitation.

According to Municipal Corporation officials, upon completion of these works, the drinking water supply in the respective colonies will be more consistent and reliable. Pipeline expansion and the installation of new tube wells will improve water pressure and enable delivery to the last mile.
